As an empath, you have an innate ability to feel the emotions and energy of those around you.

Your compassionate and understanding nature means that you’re always ready to offer your help and support to the people around you.

And while being an empath can be both a blessing and a curse, there are so many things that others admire about you.

Let’s take a closer look at what exactly it is that you do that makes people appreciate you so much.

Let’s jump right in:

1) You really listen to others

When someone has something to say, you give them your full attention. What’s more, you set aside your opinions and biases and you really try to understand what they’re trying to say.

And of course, you never ever judge, even when you don’t agree.

That’s why people admire you so much and why they find it so comforting to speak to you.

2) Feel emotions deeply

While the fact that you feel emotions so deeply can be quite overwhelming at times, it’s also something that others like about you.

I mean, so many people today seem to be on auto-pilot. Sometimes they seem to be immune to the goings on around them.

But not you!

You’re affected by what you see.

You feel for other people, you feel for animals, you feel for the planet.

Simply put, your emotions run very deep.

3) Avoid conflicts or confrontations

What good ever came from conflict?

While it’s sometimes necessary to confront someone in order to express your dissatisfaction or to resolve an issue, you’re not the kind of person that goes out and actively seeks out “trouble”.

Here’s why: You believe in dialogue, open communication, and reasoning.

It’s really quite admirable how you never seem to lose your cool.

4) Read people’s energy and intentions

Being an empath, you can sense other people’s emotions and energy – often without trying.

And the best part?

You can pick up on subtle shifts in energy, like when someone is trying to hide something or being insincere.

Not everyone can do this, which is why a lot of people get tricked, played, and betrayed.

What you have is a kind of superpower – you’re like a human lie detector.

5) Take on other people’s pain

And now we come to the curse part.

Your ability to feel other people’s emotions and pain as if they were your own can be so intense that it’s emotionally draining.

But there’s something pure and almost sacrificial about the whole thing.

Turns out that it’s what makes others associate you with figures such as Jesus or the Buddha – taking on others’ suffering demonstrates so much goodness.

6) Appreciate the beauty in the world

You know what I love about empaths?

It’s your ability to find beauty and joy in the small things and find solace in the simple pleasures life has to offer – I guess it’s partly to do with your connection to nature.

And I love how you don’t take things for granted and how you literally stop to smell the roses.

And yes, being an empath can be rough when you find yourself surrounded by pain and negativity, but it can also be beautiful when you are in the presence of art, music, nature, and wonderful positive people. Right?

Empaths savor all the beauty the world has to offer and that’s what people admire about you.

7) Connect deeply with animals and nature

An empath’s connection to nature is something special. And the way you communicate with animals is awe-inspiring.

Whether it’s local cats and dogs or wild animals you encounter on a trip somewhere, there’s just something about you that makes them trust you. It’s like you can feel each other’s energies.

People like yourself who have such a deep connection to animals are often referred to as “horse whisperer” or “dog whisperer” because like you, they’re empaths.

8) Have a strong intuition and gut instinct

Your intuition and gut instinct have gotten you out of so many bad situations.

Think about it: Maybe they’ve even saved your life.

A strong intuition and gut instinct can come in handy in so many different situations – from dating to starting a business.

Lots of people would love to have your amazing abilities.

9) Show empathy and compassion for others

Well of course you show empathy and compassion for others – you’re an empath – it’s at the core of your being.

  • Unlike so many other people, you’re unable to pass by a beggar on the street and not buy them something to eat.
  • You can’t see a person or an animal hurt and just walk by.
  • When someone asks for your help, you never say no.

Your behavior is truly commendable, not many people do what you do.

10) Have a strong sense of justice

Because of your strong sense of justice, you have a deep desire to make the world a better place. It’s no wonder that so many empaths are activists.

You can’t just stand by when something isn’t right – you have an intense need to take action and make things right. This means that you sometimes end up putting yourself in dangerous situations.

You’re pretty amazing!

People admire your bravery and willingness to stand up to those who can’t stand up for themselves.

11) You’re in tune with your feelings

Here’s another thing that people appreciate about you: You’re not just good at picking up on other people’s feelings, but you’re self-aware.

By recognizing your emotional responses to other people and situations, you can analyze your own feelings and take the necessary steps to address any issues that come up.

Let me tell you something: It’s super important for an empath to be able to deal with their emotions, otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to function most of the time.

12) Provide support for those in need

Finally, and I think this is what people love about empaths the most, you feel compelled to help others ALL THE TIME.

Whether someone needs emotional or financial support, you always provide it. You’ll even give up your lunch to feed a beggar.

Your compassion and desire to help others and make the world a better place are truly commendable.

But please remember that while you’re taking care of others, you also take care of yourself!
