I’ll tell you why I think understanding the psychology of men is so important for women.
We always hear that men and women’s brains are different. And sometimes, they really are. This affects relationships, and when women expect men to be the same as them, they’re only going to be disappointed.
Men don’t spend a lot of time thinking about themselves. Or, when they do, there’s not a lot of self-reflection.
So, when a problem arises in a relationship, women can be confused.
Women self-reflect often. They think about the past, the present, and the future. They look over their past choices and everything that comes with them.
Men don’t.
When you put the two together, it can be hard to get on the same page.

My biggest hang up with most dating books is that they may be fun to read, but ultimately you can’t apply their strategies in the real world.

What I didn’t like about the book
My The Devotion System review wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t touch on aspects of the book I didn’t like so much.
The language
I felt the language of the book was a little condescending at times towards men.
This could be that I was reading the book as a man, but several times Amy tried to paint all men with the same brush. Yeah, men are similar in a lot of ways but some of us are more complicated than others.
