Is it because you’re funny or that you know how to have a good time?

If it’s the latter, there’s a good chance that you have a truly warm personality, and here are 14 signs that’ll confirm it!
Let’s dive straight in:
1) You’re empathetic
One of the key ingredients needed for a warm personality is empathy.
You find it easy to put yourself into the shoes of others and offer support and understanding….What a superpower!
The truth is, showing empathy toward others reinforces connections and makes you a great person to have around, in times of need especially.
There’s no wonder people are drawn to you!
2) You have a positive attitude
Are you a glass-half-full type of person?
Positive people are a joy to be around in general…They remind us that life isn’t so bad!
So, if you have a positive attitude, there’s a good chance you’ve also got a warm personality.
Put it this way, you’re certainly not the type of person to bring the mood down with pessimistic comments or negativity!
3) You’re generous
When we think of someone warm, we think of those people who are giving and kind. The type of people who never expect anything in return.
And if you’re generous, with your time more than anything else, it sounds like you fit the bill.
Growing up, the elderly couple next door quickly became my adopted grandparents. I loved them for how generous they were.
But forget the sweets they’d sneakily pass me when my parents weren’t looking, it was the time they spent with me that’ll stick in my mind forever!
4) You’re a good listener
Do people often come to you for advice? Or turn to you when they need to vent their frustrations and worries?
If so, this is a good indicator that you’re a great listener (which probably stems from your empathetic nature!).
And when it comes to having a warm personality, nothing beats those who take the time to sit and listen to others.
In a world full of distractions and individual preoccupations, it’s rare to find someone willing to offer a supportive shoulder to lean on. If that happens to describe you, commendations are in order!
5) You’re kind
How you treat others is the biggest indicator of whether you have a warm personality or not.
And if you’re kind to everyone, from a waitress to a CEO, I have no doubt you fall into this category.
Kindness is such an important trait to have. When you can show compassion and care for others, you encourage them to do the same. It’s like a domino effect.
Not to mention one of the reasons we need warm-hearted, kind individuals in the world!
6) You’re extremely patient
Now, so far I’ve listed 5 traits that signal having a warm personality. But in order to be all of the above, you’ve gotta have a ton of patience!
Because let’s be honest, people are testing.
They can be hard work.
So to continuously be kind, generous, positive, and empathetic, you’ve got to be good at taking a deep breath in and not blowing your lid!
7) You’re sincere
Another sign you have a truly warm personality is if you’re sincere.
You don’t fake it. You don’t pretend to care about people. Your compassionate nature comes from within.
And this puts people at ease. They know when you compliment them that you truly mean it.
And when you offer a hand, it’s because you really want to help them out. Not because you feel obligated or forced.
8) You’re open-minded
I’ve often found open-minded people to be warm by nature for three reasons:
- They accept different opinions
- They’re adaptable
- They take an interest in others
The truth is, if you’re the type to try new things and avoid passing judgment on how others live their lives, it’s a good indicator that you too have a warm personality.
You embrace differences and would never dream of leaving someone out just because you don’t agree with their political stance, religion, or personal habits.
9) You encourage others
And if you’re open-minded, you’re probably the type of person who will go out of their way to encourage others!
Remember my kind, elderly next-door neighbors?
I recall the lady telling me once, “Do whatever makes you happy, even if no one else wants to join in” (if memory serves, I wanted to go to the cinema but none of my friends were free).
She encouraged my dreams from a young age well into adulthood. She also encouraged me to be the strong, independent woman I am today.
And ultimately, isn’t that what we all want? Someone who believes in us and never stops rooting for our dreams? These people are the warmest, softest souls out there.
10) You’re reliable
Next up on our signs that you have a truly warm personality is reliability.
When someone needs you, you’re there.
When you promise someone you’ll do a favor for them, you show up.
All of this contributes to your kind-hearted spirit. People rely on you because they know you’ll never let them down (unless it’s an emergency).
Whilst writing this, I remember my mom’s best friend. She’s incredibly warm-hearted and will come through for those she cares for no matter what.
Looking back, it makes sense why she’s built such a community around her – just her presence is inviting and magnetic!
11) You’re humble
But despite having all these wonderful traits; you never show off.
You never see yourself as better than anyone else. In other words, you’re humble.
And this is just another jigsaw piece in the puzzle of your warm personality. After all, braggers aren’t usually put in the same category!
The reason why is that to be a kind and inviting person, you need to be able to put others at ease. Being humble does that.
People from all walks of life feel comfortable being around you because you see everyone as equal.
