Powerful, fearless, and unstoppable – if these words resonate with you, then it sounds like you might be a highly empowered woman!

In this blog post, we’ll take a look at 15 behaviors of a highly empowered woman that prove you’re a force to be reckoned with.

Let’s get right to it:

1) You speak your mind

One of the first things that comes to mind about highly empowered women is the fact that they’re not afraid of saying what they think.

You see, an empowered woman is not afraid to share her thoughts and ideas because she strongly believes that her voice has value. That’s why she makes sure to actively contribute to various conversations, discussions, and decision-making processes, whether they be at work or among friends and family.

Does that sound like you?

Are you someone who has no trouble expressing your opinions?

2) You’re ambitious and determined

How ambitious and determined would you say you are?

The reason I ask is because highly empowered women are known for being goal-oriented and driven.

So if you’re committed to achieving your goals and you work tirelessly to turn your dreams into reality, I think it’s safe to say that you’re a highly empowered woman yourself.

3) You’re 100% happy being you

So many women struggle with their self-image.

They’re either unhappy with how they look or they don’t think they’re as clever/successful/interesting as they should be.

But a highly empowered woman has had enough of doubting herself and trying to please others. She embraces her individuality and uniqueness.

She no longer feels the need to conform to societal expectations.

AMEN to that!

So if you’re a woman who embraces her quirks, strengths, and weaknesses, because they’re part of you, then I applaud your strength.

4) You’re resilient

As you’re no doubt aware, it can be tough being a woman, having to deal with criticism and double standards from both men and women.

But once you become a highly empowered woman, you become resilient and learn to deal with all that crap. You don’t let it stand in your way.

When criticism is constructive, you look at it as an opportunity for growth and self-improvement. And when it’s not, you’ve learned not to let it bother you. Good for you.

5) You take pride in your accomplishments

As well you should!

Some women who aren’t as empowered as you have a hard time celebrating their achievements. They’re always downplaying their success because they feel like they deserve it, or like they haven’t accomplished much.

But you know how hard you worked and you know that you deserve the rewards.

That’s why you take pride in your accomplishments and celebrate them without downplaying their significance.

In other words, you give yourself credit where credit is due.

6) You’re assertive

The truth is that if you don’t assert yourself and speak up, nobody else is going to do it for you.

If you want something, you’re gonna have to ask for it.

And the great thing about being an empowered woman is the fact that you know your worth and can confidently communicate your needs and negotiate for what you deserve – like a promotion or a raise at work for example.

7) You’re financially independent

News flash: You can’t be a highly empowered woman if you depend on your man or your parents for money!

Nope.

An empowered woman is an independent woman, in every sense of the word.

That means that you’re financially independent –  you can pay your own rent and everything else you need with the money you earn.

8) You’re not shy about setting boundaries

If you understand the importance of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries in relationships then I applaud you.

Not everyone may get boundaries, but an empowered woman does.

You know that they’re there to protect your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. That’s why you’re not shy to tell others what you need, and which kinds of behavior you find acceptable and which you don’t.

In short: You don’t let anyone take advantage of you.

9) You stand up for what you believe in

Part of being highly empowered is standing up against injustice and discrimination.

If you’re a highly empowered woman, chances are you’re a fierce advocate for justice and equality.

You’re someone who stands up against discrimination, whether it’s related to gender, race, or anything else, you work hard to create a fair and just society.

10) You’re accountable for your actions

It may not sound like a big deal, I mean, it only seems logical that we’d all be accountable for our actions, and yet, that’s not how it is.

But if you’re an empowered woman, you’re not afraid to admit your mistakes – you hold yourself accountable for your choices and actions. Sometimes they result in successes and other times in mistakes.

And the best part?

You learn from your failures and see them as a chance for growth.

11) You support other women

Sadly, not all successful women support other women.

But if you ask me, they’re not really highly empowered. Because highly empowered women don’t see other women as a threat, they see them as sisters to be supported and uplifted.

If you’re empowered, then instead of competing with other women, you encourage and support them to succeed alongside you.

12) You’re an activist

As an empowered woman, you’re not afraid to have your voice heard and to stand up for what is right.

That’s why you actively support and advocate for gender equality and women’s rights – as well as many other causes.

You believe it’s super important to break down barriers and create a more inclusive society.

13) You try to see the positive side

Look, life’s not always going to be a breeze. Everyone faces challenges from time to time, but it’s how we deal with them that counts.

That’s where an empowered woman like yourself shines – you face obstacles head-on and turn setbacks into opportunities.

Your positive mindset means that you don’t shy away from difficult situations and instead confront them bravely.

14) You practice self-care and prioritize your well-being

An empowered woman gets that she needs to take care of herself in order if she wants to take care of others or get anything done.

That’s why you make time for activities that promote your physical, emotional, and mental health – like doing yoga, eating healthily, spending time in nature, meditating, and being surrounded by positive people.

15) You have a good life-work balance

Finally, I have to mention that if you’re a highly empowered woman, you know just how important it is to be able to balance your work, family, and personal life effectively.

None of those areas are enough by themselves to make you feel fulfilled, that’s why you make sure to manage your time efficiently.

The secret is to give each area the attention that it deserves without sacrificing another.

And there you have, behaviors that prove you’re a highly empowered woman.

If you recognize these behaviors in yourself, I applaud you. If you don’t, don’t worry, you have something to work toward!
