Life can be hard sometimes. No matter who you are or what your circumstances, we all encounter tough times.
During times when life is tough, you may need a little push to give you more energy to move forward, to move past the failures and be ready for the challenges that life throws your way.
Here are some of the best motivational mantras that will give you hope and inspiration when life is tough.
1. The best is yet to come.
Our present isn’t our future. The only fundamental law in nature is change. If things aren’t looking good now, don’t worry! It will change. Just hold yourself up and breathe.
2. Bad things can lead to good things.
It’s our perception that create negative realities in our head. The truth is, the universe is indifferent. You never know what good can come out of a bad experience.
3. Keep moving
Life moves on. If you feel like your in a bad relationship, move. If you hate your job, quit. You do have choices. Sometimes it just takes courage to accept that you’re not happy and move.
4. Let go of the past
No matter how bad the past may have been, it is still an illusion. Now is all that exists. If you keep thinking about the past and regretting things, you will never be able to move on and live in the present moment. Learn the lessons from the past and start again.
5. It’s probably not meant for you.
No matter how much hard work you put in, you can’t control everything. Sometimes acceptance is necessary for life because everything won’t turn out the way you want it to be. Move on and realize that there are always other opportunities waiting for you.
6. Remember who you are.
Our lives get so busy, we often forget who we truly are. Sometimes you need to take a break to gather your thoughts and clear your mind.
7. Mingle with the young.
We think we’re so rational and practical but we often misinterpret the simplicity of life. Life is about having fun and making the most of the present moment.
You don’t need arguments or pointless conversations. We can often learn more by listening to understand, than by listening to reply.
9. Listen to your heart.
Overthinking often leads to hesitation and anger. It’s better to switch off and get in touch with what you truly feel is important in life. Forget about judgments and talk to yourself.
10. No need to figure out everything.
So many of us don’t progress in life because the perfect opportunity doesn’t present itself. The truth is, nothing is ever perfect. Sometimes you just need to move on, no matter if it isn’t perfect.
11. Don’t stop believing.
Hope is the most powerful emotion we have. If we aren’t optimistic that the future will be better, then it likely won’t be. Give yourself hope that things will change for the better, they will!
12. People will always show you how they feel about you
We focus so much on what people say.
But what we should be focusing is on what people do. Action is the only thing that matters.
So while you might think that nobody cares about you, or that nobody is there for you when sh*t hits the fan, I can guarantee that you’re wrong. Your family care for you. Your friends care for you. They might not say it, but they’ll show it with their actions.
13. You can’t have happiness without a little pain
If there wasn’t any pain, there wouldn’t be any pleasure. Everything has a yin and yang.
So when you’re faced with a difficult situation, remember that it’s necessary to go through it if you eventually want to find true happiness.
14. You build your own walls
Every human has incredible potential There is no ceiling on what you can achieve.
If you can believe it, you can achieve it. It’s all about your mindset and your willingness to tough it out through challenging situations.
15. Make the most of yourself
In the end, we only get life once. And we’re incredibly lucky to be born in the first place.
So make the most of it. Live. Learn. Love. Dance. Do whatever you can to embrace the moment and live life to the fullest.
16. Accept reality as it is
We make up stories in our head of how things should be. We think that ignoring the dark side of life will make it go away.
But the truth, as long as there is light, there will always be dark.
And avoiding the dark won’t give us peace. It will only make us ignorant.
If you embrace reality as it is and accept everything that comes your way, you have nothing to fear.
17. The less you want, the richer you are
There is a reason that Buddha said that desire leads to suffering. If you’re always desiring, then you can never enjoy the moment and find fulfillment in your life.
A person that is truly rich is a person that has everything they need.
18. Don’t do unto others what you don’t want to be done unto you
If you can’t take it, then don’t dish it out. If you want to be treated with respect, then treat others with respect. If you want to be loved, then make sure you’re loving others2
If everyone followed this golden rule, then the world would undoubtedly be a better place.
19. Learning is a treasure
If you want to improve, then you need to learn. Learning allows us to grow and change for the better.
And no matter where you’re at in life, there is always something to learn. You can always improve.
And that is the beauty of life.
20. Don’t regret the past. Look to the future
The past is done. The only thing that matters is the present moment and using the present moment to create a better future. Take out the toxic. Focus on the positive.
If you’re always looking to the past, then you’ll never able to move forward.
